Being a massage therapist makes everyday a new experience. I may use the same skills and techniques but never the same way on any one person. The art and science of touch requires the talent of removing my personnel life to enjoy the energy of the one I am with. To fully connect to the tissue, fluid and rhythm I have to be fully engage and be grounded to feel what is moving in my patients body. Whether it be the pain from an old lover that gets shaken open from a car accident. Or the flowing fluid of the lymph system that cries sorrow over a loved one that has passed away. The body experiences pain in many ways and as a healer I try to clear it all away. Smoothing out a muscle to release tissue. It is freeing. It can stir up emotions from yesterday or from years ago. Touch is a gift and because of it I love everyday.
